A Milestone Moment: Celebrating 40 Years of Advancing Surgery
Reflecting on a Milestone Year: 40 Years of Innovation at AED
As we close out 2025 and look ahead to the year before us, we pause to reflect on what has been one of the most meaningful years in the history of Advanced Endoscopy Devices, Inc.
This year marked the 40th anniversary of AED—four decades since our founding in 1985. Throughout that time, we have remained focused on a single purpose: advancing minimally invasive surgery through innovation, education, and partnership with the global surgical community.
Four Decades of Advancing Surgical Care
From our earliest product breakthroughs to today’s most advanced imaging and instrumentation technologies, AED has consistently worked to redefine what is possible in endoscopy and surgical care.
Over the years, AED has introduced technologies that have become industry standards, including:
- Speedlock® Modular Laparoscopic Forceps
- Flex Lap® Articulating Instruments and Retractors
- Tru-Vu® HD Endoscopes and Laser Cystoscope
- ENDOPRO-CAM® Elite Camera Systems
- Kwik Kleen® Kerrisons and Arthro Pro® II Forceps
- AED Bipolar Saline Resectoscope and Precise® CMK Morcellation Knife
- The pioneering EndoscopySuperstore.com platform
Each of these innovations reflects AED’s long-standing commitment to precision, performance, and supporting clinicians in delivering exceptional patient care.
2025: A Defining Chapter in Our Journey
In many ways, 2025 became a defining chapter in AED’s story. This year, we advanced surgical education with the introduction of the EndoPro® 3D Visualization System, bringing immersive stereoscopic imaging to facial plastic, neurosurgical, and colorectal procedures.
EndoPro® 3D helps accelerate learning curves while improving procedural accuracy—enhancing depth perception, anatomical understanding, and intraoperative confidence.
Alongside EndoPro® 3D, AED launched several next-generation technologies designed to improve clarity, workflow efficiency, portability, and surgical precision, including:
- Ultima HD Endoscope Line
- ENDOPRO-CAM® Primo Series™
- EndoPro® Master Series™
- AED Non-Magnetic Laparoscopic Instruments
Patents, Portfolio Expansion, and Clinical Engagement
Our commitment to innovation was further reinforced in 2025 with the awarding of two new patents for the Shaver Leak Tester and Instrument Bridge—underscoring AED’s leadership in safety-focused and workflow-enhancing device design.
We also expanded our surgical instrument portfolio with new offerings such as:
- 9Fr and 5Fr Rotatable Hystero Forceps
- Reusable Stent Grasping Forceps
- Mini-Laparoscopes and Instruments for Maternal-Fetal Surgery
Beyond product development, 2025 was a year of meaningful clinical and industry engagement. From robotic-assisted cadaver labs to immersive, gamified surgical education experiences at major conferences, AED continued to demonstrate how technology, training, and clinical validation intersect to improve outcomes and elevate surgical practice.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we close this milestone year and step into 2026, we do so with deep gratitude for our employees, partners, and the global surgical community who have supported AED over the past 40 years.
This anniversary is not only a reflection on our history—it is a reaffirmation of our commitment to shaping the future of surgery and continuing to deliver impactful innovation for decades to come.
