Innovation, Connection, and Celebration at ASCRS 2025 in San Diego
2025 American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons Annual Meeting
What an incredible time we had at the ASCRS 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting in San Diego. Held May 10–13 at the San Diego Convention Center, this year’s event brought together the world’s top colorectal surgeons, innovators, and thought leaders for four days of cutting-edge education, meaningful networking, and forward-looking collaboration.
From hands-on labs to dynamic symposia, the energy was undeniable — and we were honored to be part of it.
Showcasing the Future of Endoscopy with AED ENDOPRO 3D
One of the highlights for our team was presenting the AED ENDOPRO 3D, our advanced 3D endoscopy system. The response from surgeons and medical professionals was phenomenal.
Key procedures enhanced by the ENDOPRO 3D system include:
- Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD)
- Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR)
- Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
- Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM)
- Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG)
- Colonoscopy
The enhanced depth perception and anatomical detail provided by 3D visualization allows for greater precision, especially in complex procedures. The feedback we received reinforced the growing demand for next-generation tools that improve visualization and outcomes in endoscopy.
Collaborating with Industry Leaders
We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to Craig Simpson and the team at CS Surgical Inc., based in Slidell, Louisiana. Your ongoing support and partnership were instrumental in making this event such a success. Your commitment to advancing surgical technology continues to inspire us.
A Special Moment with ASCRS Leadership
It was also an honor to connect with Dr. Sonia Ramamoorthy, Past President of ASCRS and Chief of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at UC San Diego Health.
Dr. Ramamoorthy is a leader in surgical innovation and professional development. She has served on the ASCRS Executive Committee in multiple roles, including President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Chair of several key initiatives. Her work establishing the Surgical Leadership Institute, the NEW Tech Symposium, and the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Committee has significantly shaped the direction of the organization.
Looking Ahead
ASCRS 2025 was more than just a meeting—it was a celebration of collaboration, leadership, and innovation in colorectal surgery. We left the event energized and inspired to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in surgical care.
