Hands-On Learning with World-Class Neurosurgeons
All-Star Cast of Neurosurgeons Meet in Santa Monica, CA
The 2025 PNI Pacific Rim Master Class in Endoscopic Endonasal and Keyhole Surgery brought together a powerhouse faculty and a global community of neurosurgeons for an unparalleled educational experience in Santa Monica, California. This annual event is fast becoming a cornerstone for the advancement of skull base and pituitary tumor surgery, combining cutting-edge clinical practice with immersive, hands-on training.
Led by an internationally acclaimed panel — including Dr. Ash Khanwalkar, Dr. Prem Subramanian, Dr. A. Samy Youssef, and Dr. Gabriel Zada — the course focused on advanced, minimally invasive neurosurgical approaches. The agenda featured a dynamic mix of live surgical demonstrations, expert lectures, and cadaveric lab sessions, fostering both surgical mastery and collaborative innovation.
A New Era of Visualization: The AED ENDOPRO 3D System
A major highlight of this year’s course was the debut of the AED ENDOPRO 3D Visualization System, a next-generation tool designed to redefine the way surgeons interact with deep anatomical structures during endoscopic procedures.
Unlike traditional 2D systems, the ENDOPRO 3D offers true stereoscopic visualization, giving surgeons enhanced depth perception and spatial orientation. This real-time 3D feedback dramatically improves accuracy and safety during complex skull base operations, particularly in challenging areas such as the pituitary gland and cavernous sinus.
Participants had the opportunity to test-drive the system in the lab, experiencing firsthand how improved visualization can refine technique and reduce surgical fatigue. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees expressing excitement about the system’s potential to improve training and patient outcomes alike.
Advancing Global Neurosurgery, Together
The Master Class wasn’t just a technical workshop — it was a celebration of global collaboration in neurosurgery. Surgeons from across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Latin America convened to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and explore the future of minimally invasive brain surgery.
As we look forward, the momentum from this year’s event is undeniable. With the introduction of tools like the ENDOPRO 3D system and the continued guidance of world-class mentors, the future of neurosurgery is bright — and more precise than ever.
